What is our Managed Services solution?


Managed Services is our all-inclusive option to manage your SQL Servers, and our SQL Daily Checkup is our budget conscious option which includes monitoring and alerting.


With monitoring several times each day this service also includes:

  • Initial analysis with written details describing your current baseline issues.
  • Weekly full email describing all recommendations.
  • Daily notification on new issues with recommendations on how to resolve.
  • Unlimited Database Health Monitor license for all servers being monitored.
  • Free access to all Stedman Solutions online courses.
  • AND NOW email notification for blocking in SQL Server.

An alternative to hiring a DBA

The SQL Server managed services offered by Stedman Solutions, LLC is an alternative to hiring a full time DBA, or to help your existing DBA that may be overloaded.
  • With managed services you get our team, typically 4 team members assigned to support your servers.
  • Our team members have experience that exceeds what you will typically find when hiring a DBA. Typical experience range from over 30 years of SQL Server experience to the less experience with around 20 years of experience.
  • Some of our team members work days, and others work nights and weekends to give better overall coverage on your systems.
  • We are available now, and can get started quickly. Hiring a DBA may take months to find the right person.
  • We have the tools needed to manage and monitor your systems more efficiently than a staff DBA with no additional cost. Over 13 years of development time invested in these tools (as of 2024). This includes Database Health Monitor licensing for all your team members.
  • Different team members have different specialty skills, such as Performance Tuning, Replication, Availability Groups, TDE, Big Data, Upgrading systems, and much much more.
  • Frequent pair programming or pair DBAing. Where two of us will share screens and work together on a project giving better coverage and better overall knowledge of your systems.

We have two different levels of support:

After hours work? No problem.

We have team members who focus on weekend and after hours support that it it is never inconvenient to ask for updates to be done on those off hours.

Dedicated Team and Dedicated Lead:

Each managed services client has a dedicated team, and dedicated team lead. You always know who to contact if you need help. You get a list of who on the team to call, text or email and in what order when you need help. Each team is 3 to 4 people depending on the number of servers we are providing managed services for.

Email notification for Blocking Queries

We provide monitoring tools that alerts us when there is an issue and we recommend fixes before the issue becomes a bigger problem. The notification runs every 1 hour and alerts us of issues that may require your attention.

Free access for all your team members for our existing classes on TSQL programming, using Database Health Monitor, learning about database corruption, and more, as well as new classes as we create them. Get access to any of our classes at no extra charge.
