Steve Stedman – Founder / Owner

Steve started Stedman Solutions, LLC in 2014, and went all in full time in 2015. The initial focus was SQL Server DBA work and Performance Tuning, but since 2015 it has evolved into much more than that, including database corruption repair.

Steve has presented on database corruption many times and has repaired dozens of corrupt databases for customers.

At the beginning of 2018 Steve realized that he could not keep up with the amount of work being requested, at which time he starting building the team, the business processes and the structure to support a larger organization.

Steve works from his home office working with the team and servicing clients from across the country.

Outside of work Steve enjoys boating in the San Juan Islands, he is a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the local fire department.


Derrick Bovenkamp – Consultant

Having been a customer since the beginning, Derrick joined Stedman Solutions part time in 2018. Derrick’s core expertise is in Systems Administration including Virtualization, Storage and Networking. He also enjoys DBA work and helping customers with corruption repair.

Derrick has spent the majority of his career in Healthcare IT so he especially enjoys helping customers in the Healthcare field, but this work has also given him a special appreciation the importance of enabling the customer to better be able to serve their customer.

In his spare time Derrick enjoys spending time with his wife and young son along with two dogs. He is also an Eagle Scout and continues to be an active volunteer in Scouting.


Eric Isaacs – SQL Programming Consultant

Eric joined the team in April of 2022.  He has been working with SQL Server in multiple capacities since 1996.  He is an expert at addressing slow SQL Server performance, data migrations, and database design as well as working with big data.

He has worked in leadership roles on the GoDaddy.com, ShareBuilder.com, and Costco.com websites and has worked on big data contracts at other Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft and Lennar.  He was the lead database architect for the SQL Server database for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s 2003 and 2007 Drinking Water Infrastructure Needs Surveys used to report budgetary needs to Congress.

He has many years of experience as a consultant helping businesses of varying sizes and industries to address their SQL Server and database needs.


Bill Simpkins – Senior SQL Developer

Bill joined the team in September of 2018. His focus is on software development and works with clients on SQL Server related software development projects.

Bill has specific focus on machine learning and very large database design.


Laura Tulett – Consultant

Laura joined the team in March 2023. She has been working with SQL Server in multiple capacities since 2002.  Setup and maintenance SQL Servers, data migrations, database design and development, and project management of large development projects.  She loves to work with data, keeping it clean and running efficiently.

When not looking at data, Laura enjoys the mountains with skiing and hiking, and the water by paddleboard, kayak and boat.


Alex Wikstrom – Bookkeeping

Alex joined the team in February of 2023. He has several years of accounting experience from private equity to technology companies and nonprofit organizations.

When not doing account reconciliations or some light reading on the IRS website, he can be found out wandering in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands.

Shannon Lindsay- Executive Assistant

Shannon joined the team in 2024, in a new position to help Steve with administrative tasks. She has several years of experience in assisting business owners with daily to-do’s and looks forward to meeting current and future customers!

When Shannon is not on the clock, you can find her on the farm with her husband and kids, tending to the livestock and flowers. She also enjoys camping and traveling.
